Some plumbing problems are minor… slow water leak around a faucet, toilet doesn’t flush exactly right, while others can be catastrophic. No matter the size of the problem, our plumbing crew can get everything back the way it’s supposed to be. Plumbing problems can occur outside, under the house, or inside your house. Our technicians can replace water supply lines, clean out or replace sewage lines, and offer well pump and purification system repair services.
“A Swimming Pool in Your Front Yard?”
If your water comes from the City, and you awake one morning to find your front yard full of water, yet there’s been NO rain, your water supply line has probably cracked or burst.
If you’re able, you’ll want to go out and cut off your water at the meter box. If you’re not able, you should call the City and let them know what’s happening, or call Metro Maintenance. The City won’t fix the supply line if it’s on your side of the meter box, but they will turn the water off. And understand, they’re going to bill you for all the water you “used.” It’s their policy, so don’t delay in making the call!
Bathrooms and Kitchens
While
there are many water pipes running under your house and through the
walls, most problems generally occur in either a bathroom or the kitchen…
because that’s where all those pipes are leading. Most of our plumbing
work consists of repairing or replacing toilets, tub/shower fixtures,
and lavatory faucets. Most often it’s because of a leak, but many times
homeowners desire new, more stylish plumbing fixtures. Our “green” customers
might be interested in low-flow showerheads and water saving toilets,
while others might be more interested in adding more showerheads for
a full-body shower experience. Either way, we’re ready to help.
Time to Go Tankless with Your Water Heater?
Water heaters. Big, insulated tanks with heating elements inside controlled by a thermostat. Cold water in. Hot water out. Pretty simple, but not very efficient. The typlcal family uses hot water in the morning getting ready for work or school, then not again until day’s end. A conventional water heater keeps the water hot during the day when no one is home and then again at night when everyone’s sleeping… while no one is using any hot water. Tankless hot water heaters, those that heat water ONLY on-demand, are becoming more popular as we face rising utility costs.
Help in the Kitchen
Because Metro Maintenance is licensed in plumbing and electrical, who better to install a garbage disposal? Need a water line for your icemaker? New, more stylish kitchen faucets? A pot filler over your stove?
