Furnace Repair, Tune-Ups and Installation for Rocky Mount, NC

Gas, Electric and Oil Heat, Serviced and Installed

A furnace in Eastern North Carolina works a short, hard season. That is long enough to matter on the coldest nights and short enough that a developing fault can sit unnoticed from one winter to the next. Metro Maintenance has been keeping heat running in Rocky Mount since 1986, and gas-fired equipment is where our safety checks earn their keep. Pick the service you need below. Remember, All Work is Guaranteed.

Safety Is Part of the Job, Not an Add-On

Anything that burns fuel indoors deserves more than a filter change. On installations we perform rigorous safety inspections including carbon monoxide testing, and on maintenance visits the burners, heat exchanger and safety controls get inspected as a matter of course. If we find something that makes a system unsafe to run, we will tell you plainly.

Signs Your Furnace Needs Attention

  • The furnace is over 15 to 20 years old
  • Frequent repairs are becoming costly
  • Energy bills are steadily increasing
  • Uneven heating throughout your space
  • Strange noises or odors coming from the unit
  • Visible signs of rust or cracks on the furnace
  • Your home feels more humid than usual

What a Tune-Up Buys You

A maintained furnace holds its efficiency, runs quieter, and is far less likely to fail on the night you need it. It also keeps manufacturer warranty conditions intact, which matters if a major component ever does let go. Our maintenance plans put the visit on a schedule so it does not get forgotten in a mild autumn.

Furnaces We Install

Metro Maintenance carries and installs Armstrong Air furnaces as a Pro Team dealer: the A961E single-stage at 96% AFUE, the A972E two-stage at 97% AFUE, and the A98MV modulating furnace at 98% AFUE with a stainless steel heat exchanger and Comfort Sync A3. We provide repair and maintenance for all makes and models.

Benefits of a New Furnace

  • Improved energy efficiency and lower utility bills
  • Consistent heating throughout your space
  • Quieter operation compared to older models
  • Better air quality with advanced filtration options
  • Potential tax credits or rebates for high-efficiency models

Financing a Replacement

A new furnace is a significant investment, so Metro Maintenance offers flexible financing options to make the installation more affordable. Ask about it when we quote the job, not after.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Furnace Service

What types of furnaces does Metro Maintenance install?

We install gas, electric and oil furnaces, including high-efficiency models. On the equipment side we are an Armstrong Air Pro Team dealer and carry the A961E, A972E and A98MV. We will help you choose the option that fits your home and your budget rather than defaulting to the largest system on the truck.

Will you service a furnace you did not install?

Yes. Our technicians work with all major furnace brands for repair and maintenance. Installing Armstrong Air does not limit what we will service.

How often should a furnace be serviced?

Once a year, before the heating season starts. Between visits, change the air filter every one to three months. Annual service on a gas furnace is also a safety item, not just an efficiency one, because it is when the heat exchanger and combustion side get inspected.

How long does a furnace installation take?

Most residential furnace installations are completed in one to two days, depending on how complex the installation is and whether any ductwork modifications are needed. We walk you through operation and maintenance before we leave.

Not sure a furnace is the right heat source? In this climate a heat pump covers heating and cooling from one outdoor unit, and a geothermal system does the same using ground temperature. For an all-in-one cabinet outside the house, see package units.
